- LG New Energy signs long-term supply agreement with Australian lithium miner for lithium hydroxide!
Australian lithium miner Vulcan Energy Resources recently announced that it has signed a minimum five-year lithium hydroxide supply agreement with LG New Energy, the battery subsidiary of South Korea's LG Chem. Under the agreement, LG New Energy will purchase 5,000 metric tons of battery-grade lithium hydroxide from Vulcan in the first year of the deal and 10,000 metric tons per year thereafter, Vulcan said, adding that its deal with LG New Energy is expected to be finalized by the end of November. The deal could be extended for another five years.
