China imposes anti-dumping duties on Japanese and American hydroiodic acid

On October 15, the Ministry of Commerce issued the 80th Announcement No. 80 of 2018, ruling that the import of hydriodic acid originating in the United States and Japan was dumped, the domestic industry suffered substantial damage, and there was a causal relationship between dumping and substantial damage. From October 16, 2018, anti-dumping duties will be imposed on the above products for a period of five years.

According to the announcement, the anti-dumping tax rate of Japanese companies is 41.1%, and that of US companies is 123.4%.

In response to the domestic hydriodic acid industry application, the Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement on October 16, 2017, deciding to conduct an anti-dumping investigation on imported hydriodic acid originating in the United States and Japan.
