Tianjin Suihua Group recently held the groundbreaking ceremony for the “two-oriented” relocation and transformation project in Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone. The project focuses on the development of two major product chains, methanol to olefins and ethane cracking to ethylene, including the construction of 2 x 1.8 million tons/year methanol to olefins and 300,000 tons/year of polyethylene, 2 x 300,000 tons/year of polypropylene, 60 10,000 tons / year ionized membrane caustic soda, 800,000 tons / year of polyvinyl chloride, 60,000 tons / year of ethylene oxide, 200,000 tons / year of propylene oxide co-production of 450,000 tons / year styrene and other devices. The total investment of the project is 29.4 billion yuan and it is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2020. It is reported that during the year, Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone will also start construction of more than ten large projects of BP, Xiangsmai, Huadian, and Air Liquide.
